A routine check into a man sleeping in his car in Levittown netted a burglary arrest for Nassau Second Precinct officers early Thursday.

Police said they found Frank J. Lalima, 20, sleeping in his car about 8 a.m. Thursday morning at 297 Wantagh Ave. The officers also discovered a large number of lottery scratch-off tickets, a plastic lottery ticket dispensing case and marijuana in Lalima's car.

After an investigation, the lottery tickets were found to be the proceeds of a commercial burglary that took place in Massapequa earlier that same day. Lalima was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Lalima, of 70 Balsam Lane in Levittown, is scheduled to be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
