Hempstead girl, 13, who went missing is found, police say
A Hempstead girl who went missing over the weekend has been found, police said Monday.
Amneris Andino, 13, was last seen Saturday afternoon walking away from her home at 5 p.m., according to Nassau County police.
Authorities issued a Silver Alert, the practice for when a person of any age is missing and believed to be at risk.
In a news release Monday morning police said Amneris had been found. They did not provide details.
