Nassau detectives are investigating a pair of robberies that occurred Saturday night in Uniondale and Elmont.

At about 7 p.m. three men approached a 27-year-old man in the driveway of his Emily Avenue home in Elmont, as he tried to unload items from a vehicle, police said. One of the men showed a silver handgun and demanded property from the victim. The victim, pushed the suspect, ran into his home and called 911.

The suspect then kicked the front door of the man's house twice, before leaving with the two other men without taking anything.

Police said one of the suspects is 6-foot tall and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and black bubble jacket. The other men were described as 5-foot-7 inch tall wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and black bubble jacket, and 5-foot-5 inch tall, wearing light colored pants, black bubble jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt.

Another robbery occurred at about 10:15 p.m. as a 57-year-old man pulled into his driveway on Park Avenue in Uniondale, police said.

Two men approached the driver and displayed a black handgun and a knife, before demanding property. The victim complied, giving the men an undetermined amount of money, prompting the two robbery suspects to leave the area on foot heading south.

The first suspect is described as 5-foot-7-inches, about 25-years-old, thin build, and was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and a gray baseball cap. There was no description given by police of the second suspect.
