Police said a Baldwin woman with a cognitive disorder who was reported missing Tuesday has been found unharmed — in an assisted living facility in Brooklyn.
Nassau County police said it was not immediately clear how Kerlande Lazard, 54, ended up at the facility, which was not named.
Lazard had last been seen driving her 2001 Toyota Highlander and, police said, Tuesday that investigators believed she might have been headed to Brooklyn.
It was not immediately clear what led police to locating Lazard at the facility.
