Nassau police said they are investigating an incident of criminal mischief in which an unknown suspect fired a shot into a vehicle in North Merrick.

Police said the suspect fired one round into the vehicle as it was parked on Williams Street at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, shattering two windows and damaging the passenger seat. No injuries were reported, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
