Police are searching for a driver who crashed his car into a house in North Bellmore early Thursday morning, May 21, 2015, fleeing the scene on foot. Nassau County police said investigators are also trying to determine if the vehicle was involved in an unrelated accident before the 12:25 a.m. crash into the home on Dewey Avenue. Police are searching for a driver who crashed his car into a house in North Bellmore early Thursday morning, fleeing the scene on foot.

Nassau County police said investigators are also trying to determine if the vehicle was involved in an unrelated accident before the 12:25 a.m. crash into the home on Dewey Avenue. Photos from the scene show the damaged car, a Chevy Camaro with a Maryland license plate, poking out of the garage.

The garage structure was damaged.

Additional details were not immediately available.
