Nassau police released a photo Monday of a man they say stole a hockey glove from the New York Islanders' bench during the team's final game at Nassau Coliseum on April 25, a 3-1 playoff win over the Washington Capitals.

The bearded suspect is shown in the photo wearing an Islanders cap and grinning broadly as he totes a bottle of beer in the orange and blue glove on his right hand.

Police are seeking information from the public they hope will lead to the man's arrest on larceny charges.

It was unclear which player used the glove and an Islanders spokesman was not immediately available for comment.

Police are asking anyone with information on the identity of the suspect to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
