Cops seek 2 men who robbed mom with son on Uniondale street
Nassau police are searching for two masked robbers who stole money from a mother walking with her son in Uniondale on Saturday.
First Squad detectives said Sunday that a 40-year-old woman and her 9-year-old son were walking north on Nassau Road at about 8 p.m. when they were approached from behind by two men wearing black face masks.
The men demanded money and pushed the woman to the ground before taking her black pocketbook that held her wallet and cellphone. Both men ran away heading east on Northern Parkway, police said. The woman, complained of pain to her shoulders, but refused medical attention at the scene.
One of the suspected robbers is described as being about 6 feet tall, with a thin build. The other suspect is described at being about 5 feet 2 inches, to 5 feet 4 inches tall, with a thin build.
