Nassau police seek Hicksville bank robber
Nassau police are looking for a man who robbed a Hicksville bank Monday afternoon.
The Major Case Bureau is investigating a robbery that occurred at the Bank of America at 20 Jerusalem Ave. at 2:06 p.m.
According to detectives, the suspect approached a female teller while displaying a black handgun and verbally demanded cash.
The man ran out of the bank on foot in an unknown direction with an unknown amount of money. The suspect is described as male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, about 40 years old wearing a Yankees baseball cap, black leather jacket and black sunglasses. No injuries were reported. Six employees and three customers were in the bank at the time, police said.
