Nassau police are looking for a man who robbed a beauty supply store in Valley Stream armed with a knife Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the man was wielding a large kitchen knife when he entered Select Beauty Supply store at 297 N. Central Ave. at about 12:40 p.m. Police said he opened the cash register and took money from the drawer, and after taking an undisclosed amount of cash, fled on foot eastbound on Fritchie Place.

Two employees and one customer were in the store at the time of the robbery and no one was hurt, police said.

The suspect is described as being 6 feet, 2 inches tall with a thin build and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black mask.
