Nassau police are looking for a man who robbed a Massapequa Park bank Thursday afternoon.

Robbery Squad detectives said the man presented a note demanding money to a female bank teller at Capital One Bank, 5100 Sunrise Hwy., at about 1:27 p.m.

The man reportedly also threatened that he had a gun, though none was displayed. After the teller handed over an undetermined amount of money, the man ran away east on Sunrise Highway, police said. There were seven bank employees and four customers in the bank at the time of the robbery, but no one was injured.

The robbery suspect is described as a male in his 30s, between 5 feet and 5 feet, 2 inches tall, with a stocky, athletic build. The man is also described as clean shaven, with medium olive complexion and wearing a New York Yankee baseball cap backward, large reflective sunglasses, and a dark, long-sleeved crew-neck knit shirt.

Detectives ask anyone with information to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
