Nassau police are investigating a Friday robbery of a North Bellmore convenience store, authorities said Sunday.

A suspect entered Quick Stop, at 2741 Jerusalem Ave., and displayed a black handgun as he approached a male employee and demanded cash around 1:11 p.m., police said.

Authorities said the robber then reached into the cash register and grabbed an undetermined amount of cash. He was last seen heading north on foot along Harrison Street.

Police said the suspect wore a camouflaged ski mask and a dark hat, and is described as being 5-foot 9-inches tall, with a stocky build.

Police encourage anyone with information to call 1-800-244-8477.
