The Freeport Armory will host the 32nd annual Winter Veterans Stand Down next Tuesday. This year's event, which provides a winter coat, a fleece jacket, boots, toiletries, nonperishable food items and a frozen Thanksgiving turkey to thousands of Nassau veterans, will include new safety regulations because of the coronavirus pandemic.
