Nearly a dozen robbed in home invasion
The Fourth Squad is searching for four or five men who forced their way into a Cedarhurst home Friday at gunpoint and robbed the 11 people inside of cash, jewelry and cellphones, Nassau County police said.
At about 1:15 a.m., police said the group of men, wearing bandannas over their faces, entered the home displaying handguns.
Eleven people were in the home at the time, and the victims were ordered to lie on the floor.
The robbers then went through the victims' pockets, taking an unspecified amount of cash, jewelry and cellphones, police said.
Police said additional cash and jewelry were taken from two safes belonging to the residents. The suspects then fled.
One of the occupants had minor injuries after being kicked by a robber, police said.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
