New York Lottery: Two $1M Powerball tickets sold on LI

New Jersey got the seven-course meal in Saturday’s Powerball with one ticket in Mercer County claiming the $429.6 million jackpot. Long Island, meanwhile, settled for appetizers.
Two tickets sold in Nassau County were worth $1 million each in the nearly half-billion dollar jackpot, the New York Lottery said.
The $1 million tickets matched five numbers but missed out on the Powerball.
They were sold at Ebony Cards & Gifts at 2107 Dutch Broadway in Elmont and at the Farmingdale 7-Eleven at 85 Merritts Rd.
Nationwide, seven $1 million tickets were sold for Saturday’s drawing, lottery officials said.
The winning New Jersey ticket matched all six numbers — 5, 25, 26, 44, 66 and the Powerball of 9 — to win the eighth largest jackpot in the history of multistate games in the United States.
It marked the largest jackpot since January, when a $1.586 billion Powerball jackpot was split three ways.
