Summer round-trip bus service to Jones Beach State Park from the Long Island Rail Road's Freeport station commences May 24, according to a release from the Nassau Inter-County Express.

Service on the N88 will be offered on weekends only, including Memorial Day, through June 22, moving to daily trips on June 23, when daily service on the N87 from the Hicksville station also starts, the release said.

Buses will run every 30 minutes from Freeport and every hour from Hicksville through Labor Day, making stops at Jones Beach's two bathhouses and the central mall, the release said.
