NIFA seeks ethics board opinion on N. Valley Stream attorney

The Nassau Interim Finance Authority is seeking a county ethics board opinion on North Valley Stream attorney Edward Ambrosino's multiple legal roles. He's a Hempstead Town councilman; counsel to the Nassau Industrial Development Agency; "of counsel" to the Ruskin Moscou Faltischek law firm; "special counsel" for County Executive Edward Mangano and principal at Blue Rhino Capital LLC.

For now, the authority has held up an increase to Ambrosino's Nassau contract from $100,000 to $225,000. Ambrosino said: "Before I took any legal responsibilities with County Executive Mangano or the IDA, I reviewed the statutory materials" and determined "there is no conflict of interest."
