None hurt in school bus crash in Wantagh

A school bus carrying three children was involved in a collision with a car Monday morning in Wantagh, police said.

No one was injured in the crash, which Nassau County police said occurred on Sunrise Highway just east of the Wantagh Parkway at 7:51 a.m.

The circumstances surrounding the accident were not immediately clear, police said.

Police said there was no damage to the bus.

Although none of the students were injured, police said parents had been called to the scene. Police did not release the ages of the children -- and could not immediately identify the school district.
