Occupants safely escape Valley Stream house fire, officials say

Firefighters from three Nassau County departments are battling a blaze at a home in Valley Stream late Monday morning, Nassau fire officials said.
The fire at the home on Hamilton Avenue was reported at 10:53 a.m. The scene is located between Bucknell Road and Camdike Street.
Officials said the home was occupied — but said all residents were reported to have exited the house safely.
Firefighters from Elmont, Malverne and Valley Stream responded and are battling the blaze.
