A bomb threat that led to the evacuation of Oceanside High School Tuesday afternoon was later determined not to be credible, the Nassau County Police Department said.
The building had been "evacuated out of precaution," a police department spokesperson said in an earlier telephone interview. Police responded to a call regarding the incident at 1:56 p.m.
Additional information about the threat, who may have made it and by what manner, as well as when it was determined to be noncredible, were not immediately available Tuesday evening.
District officials could not immediately be reached for comment.
