Oceanside woman arrested in painkiller buys
An Oceanside woman used forged prescriptions to purchase painkillers from the pharmacy of a West Hempstead CVS store, Nassau County police said Friday.
Kathleen Trumpatori, 53, is charged with five counts each of second-degree possession of a forged instrument and second-degree identity theft.
She is scheduled to be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
Police said that Trumpatori, of 376 Moore Ave., used the forged prescriptions in the name of another person to purchase Vicodin five times -- between Feb. 16 and Sept. 13 of last year -- each time getting 30 pills.
Each purchase was made at the CVS at 814 Hempstead Ave., police said.
She was arrested on Thursday in Wantagh after an investigation, Narcotics Vice Bureau detectives said.
