A bicyclist had minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Lawrence Monday morning, Nassau County police said.

Police closed East Broadway near Carman Avenue for about an hour after responding to a call for a pedestrian hit by a vehicle.

A department spokesman said the call was received at 9:16 a.m. Later, police confirmed the injured person was riding a bicycle.

Police had no details about injuries, but a spokeswoman said they were considered minor.

Police issued a traffic advisory at 9:45 a.m. announcing the closing of East Broadway to traffic in both directions. The road reopened to traffic, police said, at 10:44 a.m.
