A 33-year-old man injured in a two-car crash Saturday morning in Old Westbury died a short time later at a hospital, police said.
Nassau County police said a 2005 Dodge Caravan heading north on Glen Cove Road at about 8:45 a.m. was struck by a southbound 1999 BMW that spun out of control in heavy rain.
The back of the BMW hit the front of the minivan, police said.
The BMW driver was taken to Winthrop Hospital with head injuries and was pronounced dead less than an hour later, according to police. The 56-year-old man driving the Dodge was treated for lacerations to his head and leg.
The victims’ identities were not released.
Police said there was no apparent criminality in the accident.
