An overturned car on the eastbound Southern State Parkway closed the right lane near Exit 31 in Massapequa Park Friday morning, according to the state Department of Transportation website.

The car overturned at 8:07 a.m., according to informny.com, near the Bethpage State Parkway exit. Traffic was moving slowly between Exit 30, South Broadway in Massapequa, and Exit 35, Wellwood Avenue in Melville.

The car was removed at 8:23 a.m. and traffic returned to normal, the site reported.

It was unclear how the car overturned or if there were injuries. A phone call to State Police for more information was not immediately returned.
