Pair rob driver, steal BMW
First Squad detectives are looking for two men who carjacked and robbed a man at gunpoint Tuesday in the parking lot of a Roosevelt gas station, Nassau County police said.
Police said a man, 35, was sitting in his 2001 BMW in the parking lot of the BP Gas Station at 533 Nassau Rd., at about 12:50 a.m. when two men approached his car.
The man who approached the driver's side asked for directions before displaying a black handgun and ordering the driver out of the vehicle.
The second man stood behind the car as the man with the gun demanded money from the victim, police said.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the armed man entered the BMW and drove off, police said. The other suspect also drove off in a car, following the victim's BMW.
No injuries were reported, police said.
Both men wore hooded sweatshirts, police said.
