Police are searching for two men who they said attacked a 24-year-old man in Westbury early Friday, knocking him to the ground, kicking him and stealing his cell phone and cash before fleeing.

The incident occurred at 4:10 a.m. on Grand Street near Asbury Avenue, police said.

Nassau County police said the victim, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the crime to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
