A homeless man who police said forced his way through the window of a driver stopped at a light in Levittown and demanded money was arrested Tuesday, charged with robbery and coercion.

Carl Bunn, 50, was arrested following the incident on Hempstead Turnpike at 4:45 p.m., Nassau County police said. He was charged with third-degree robbery and second-degree coercion and was scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Police said Bunn approached a car being driven by a woman, 49, that was stopped at the traffic light near Loring Road.

Bunn forced himself into the woman's partly opened driver's side window and demanded cash, police said. She tossed $2 out the window and drove off. There were no injuries.

Bunn was located a short time later and arrested.
