Pedestrian, 73, struck dead in Seaford

A 73-year-old Bellmore man was killed Saturday in Seaford crossing the street, Nassau County police said.

The accident happened about 5:47 p.m. as he crossed Washington Avenue, near Clark Street, to get to his car. A 53-year-old man driving north on Washington struck him.

Police did not release the victim's nor the driver's name. There is no criminality suspected, police said.

The accident scene is several blocks east of the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway.
