Pedestrian hit by car in critical condition

A pedestrian is in critical condition after having been struck by a car in Uniondale early Saturday morning, Nassau County police said.

The incident occurred just before 2:30 a.m. at Front Street and Uniondale Avenue.

The victim, whose identity has not be released by police, has been hospitalized.

The driver of the car will not be facing any charges. No other details are available, police said.
