Pedestrian hit, injured by car in Inwood

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured in Inwood on Friday night, Nassau police said.

The pedestrian, who sustained serious head injuries, was taken to a hospital after the incident at Mott and West End avenues about 10:50 p.m., police said.

No additional information was immediately available from police.
