Pedestrian hit, killed crossing Sunrise Highway, police say

A male pedestrian was killed while crossing Sunrise Highway in Massapequa on Friday night, Nassau police said.

The victim was hit by a 2015 Lincoln going east about 9:25 p.m., between Hicksville Road and Broadway, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said in a news release.

Police withheld the identity of the victim and said the investigation is ongoing.
