A pedestrian who was struck by car in a parking lot off Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow did not suffer life-threatening injuries, Nassau County police said Thursday.

The accident about 7 p.m. in the vicinity of Nassau University Medical Center closed the roadway in both directions for more than half an hour, police said.

There was no criminality and no summonses were issued, a police spokeswoman said.
