Pedestrian injured in Plainview hit-run

Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who left a pedestrian seriously injured Friday morning in Plainview.

The pedestrian, whose identity has not been released, was airlifted to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, Nassau County police said.

The person's condition was unknown.

The incident occurred on Old Country Road near the intersection with Manetto Hill Road at about 9:30 a.m. Police said they are investigating.
