A pedestrian died over the weekend after being struck by a vehicle Friday as he ran across a Hempstead street, Nassau police said Monday.

Julian Angel Tezen-Morales, 32, of Wellington Street in Hempstead, was running east across Clinton Street when a northbound Toyota 4Runner hit him, police said.

The victim was pronounced dead Sunday night at NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, police said.

Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate.
