Pedestrian killed in Massapequa Park crash

An 82-year-old pedestrian died after being hit by at least one car Thursday in Massapequa Park, Nassau police said.
The man, from Massapequa Park, was hit at 4:45 p.m. on the westbound side of Sunrise Highway by Park Boulevard, police said.
Sunrise Highway was shut down for hours in both directions.
Homicide detectives were investigating. The man's identity was not released, and no other details were available.
