Pedestrian killed in Massapequa, police say

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday night in Massapequa, police said.
The crash happened shortly after 8 p.m. on Sunrise Highway near Louden Street, a police spokeswoman said.
Details about the vehicle, the identity of the pedestrian or the driver were not immediately available late Sunday night as police continued to investigate.
