A pedestrian was in stable condition after a Ford pickup traveling south on Austin Boulevard in North Long Beach hit him as he crossed the street Wednesday afternoon, Fourth Squad detectives said.
The driver, a 41-year-old man, was in the center turn lane when a pedestrian crossed "from east to west" in front of the vehicle, Nassau County police said.
