Glen Cove Road reopened in Greenvale after serious crash involving a pedestrian, police say

Glen Cove Road was reopened in Greenvale Monday following what police described as a serious crash involving a pedestrian.
Nassau police said the incident was reported in a 911 call at 6:03 a.m. involving a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. Police said the driver remained at the scene.
The road was closed in both directions between Northern Boulevard and Lakeville Court for more than five hours as police conducted an investigation.
Police have not released any additional information on the condition of the victim.
