The Glen Cove City Council recently approved a $3,500 concessions contract for Morgan Park and Pryibil

Elmont-based The Perfect Pickle was the only bid, said city spokeswoman Lisa Travatello.

The company operated beach concessions last year, along with the two concession stands at John Maccarone Memorial Stadium, said Darcy Belyea, director of parks and recreation. She added that the company was called S.C. Specialty Food Group at the time.

Belyea said that this year the company wants to concentrate on the beach concessions, which includes hot dogs, hamburgers and ice cream and, at Morgan, empanadas.

“It’s hard for one vendor to handle all four concessions,” she said.

The resolution was approved May 23 and requires The Perfect Pickle to reimburse the city $1,000 for utility costs. Belyea said the company keeps all profits from food sales.

The council on May 9 approved a bid by Sid’s All American Inc. to operate the stadium concessions. Sid’s operates a restaurant near the stadium.
