Person hit by car on S. Farmingdale street

A pedestrian was struck by a car and injured in a midmorning accident in South Farmingdale on Wednesday, police said.

Nassau County police said a pedestrian was struck at 10 a.m. near the intersection of Matthew Avenue and Midwood Street and that he was being taken to a hospital.

It was not clear if the driver remained at the scene. The investigation is continuing.
