Peter King campaign ad with activist Evelyn Rodriguez to air

A sport utility vehicle fatally struck Evelyn Rodriguez, 50, in Brentwood near a memorial for her daughter Kayla Cuevas, who was allegedly killed by MS-13 gang members in 2016. Rodriguez had appeared in this political ad, which was set to air Sept. 17, said Rep. Peter King. After Rodriguez's death, King was going to pull the ad, but her family urged him to run it. In the ad, Rodriguez recalls her final conversation with her daughter and praises King's advocacy toward eradicating the El Salvadoran gang known as Mara Salvatrucha.
