A pizza delivery man was robbed on a street in Baldwin Monday evening by a gunman who stole cash and fled.

Nassau County police said the robbery occurred on Milburn Avenue at 6:20 p.m.

No one was injured in the incident, police said.

The man was making a delivery for Vincent's Pizzeria on Atlantic Avenue. But when he went to the address on the order ticket, police said, the resident told him he had not ordered the pie.

The delivery man then called the cell phone number on the order ticket. He was told he was at the wrong house - and to walk "next door," police said. As he did, police said the delivery man was met on the sidewalk by a man who handed him a $100 bill. The delivery man handed the man the pizza and went to make change.

That's when the customer pulled out a silver-and-black semiautomatic pistol, police said, and not only took back the $100 bill, but $75 in change.

He then fled through a yard.

Police are asking that anyone with information about the robbery contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
