An early morning one-car crash in Glen Head left the driver hospitalized with serious injuries Thursday, Nassau County police said.

Police said the crash, which closed one lane of northbound Route 107 in the area of St. Hyacinth Church and Pound Hollow Road for hours, occurred at 4:42 a.m. The driver, whose identity has not been released, was later arrested -- and police said charges are pending.

Police said investigators are looking at alcohol as a factor.

Additional details were not immediately available.
