A man was robbed by two men, one of them armed, as he walked down a street in New Cassel on Saturday night, Nassau County police said.

The 25-year-old victim, who police didn't identify, was walking near Prospect Avenue and Sheridan Street at about 10:30 p.m. when the two men approached him, police said.

One of the men revealed a black handgun and rifled through the victim's pockets before taking his wallet, police said. The men then ran east on Prospect Avenue. The victim was not injured.

The armed man was described as being about 5'7", 180 pounds, and wearing a blue-green T-shirt and black jeans. The second man was described as wearing a dark baseball cap with a Yankees logo.

Police ask anyone with more information on this case to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-244-TIPS.
