A Baldwin man is expected to be arraigned Tuesday on charges that he tried to file forged deeds with the Nassau County Clerk's office, Nassau police said.

Police said Danny Noble Jr., 46, of 719 Jay Way filed a forged deed transfer of ownership Nov. 19, 2012, with the clerk's office in Mineola for property on Lincoln Street in Baldwin. The document was also found stamped with a stolen Kings County Notary stamp on the deed.

Noble filed a second forged deed transfer of ownership a month later for a property on Jay Way in Baldwin, using a stamp reported stolen since October 2011, police said.

Freeport police arrested Noble on Sunday. He was charged with four counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument and four counts of offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree. He was also charged with second-degree forgery.

Noble is set to be arraigned in First District court in Hempstead.
