A movie crew shooting a robbery scene in Bellmore Tuesday apparently so fooled people on the street that they called 911, Nassau County police said.
Passersby thought the filming of a scene in which a Merrick Road store was robbed was the real thing, police said.
"That seems to be the gist of it, but we're still waiting to find out more," police spokeswoman Carolyn Kasdorf said. An independent crew was doing the filming.
Kasdorf said police were at the scene but did not have more details.
