Two men on bicycles attacked a man and robbed him of his cellphone as he walked along a street Wednesday night in Roosevelt, police said.

The robbery took place on Woods Avenue at 9:20 p.m.

The victim, identified only as a 50-year-old man, was not seriously injured, police said.

Nassau County police said that the two suspects, both described as being about 6-foot and 200 pounds, stopped the man and talked to him briefly before one pushed the victim to the ground, stepped on his arm -- and took his phone.

The two then fled on their bikes east on Woods.

Police said the two wore all black clothing and hooded sweatshirts. One also wore a black mask, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
