A 14-year-old boy was stabbed as he left a Hempstead Village deli Saturday night, Hempstead Village police said.

Police said the boy and several of his teenage friends had just left a deli near Nassau Parkway and Emery Street at about 11 p.m. when they were followed by two men on bikes.

After the encounter, the boy was stabbed in the back and the arm. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was treated for his injuries. No one else was hurt in the attack, which is still under investigation.
