Police: Cam captured truck in fatal hit-and-run

A surveillance photo captured an image of the white box truck police said struck and killed a bicyclist in a hit-and-run earlier this month in Bethpage.
Stephen Marano, 32, of Bethpage was killed in the crash on Route 107 near Brenner Avenue on April 6. Another man on the bicycle, Stephen Bonansinga, was seriously injured, Nassau County Police said.
Police said the truck that struck the two men fled the scene. But now a grainy surveillance photo shows the 16-foot long white box truck, covered with graffiti, traveling south along Route 107. "Two males riding on one bicycle were struck by this truck," police said in a prepared statement, adding: "The vehicle left the scene southbound on Route 107."
The fatal accident occurred at 6:05 a.m.
Police said the truck sustained front headlight damage as a result of the accident.
