Police: Cars burned in Hempstead

Several cars were set on fire Friday evening in a commercial lot on Sewell Street in Hempstead, Nassau County police said.
The fires were reported at 10:22 p.m. and extinguished shortly thereafter by the Hempstead Fire Department.
The Nassau County Fire Marshal has deemed the fires suspicious, and the investigation is ongoing.
